"Pontiac Pow-Wow-WOW at Turkey Run"
31st Annual Turkey Rod Run -

Daytona International Speedway

Pontiac Oakland Club International - Dixie, Everglades,
Florida & Hurricane Chapters

This was POCI's 4th Annual Pontiac-wow-WOW held in conjunction within Turkey Rod run.  Located inside Daytona International Speedway, the reunion of Pontiac overs has continued to grow.   Each year we reserve more parking spots and each year they are filled by POCI and future-POCI members driving in from all over the eastern seaboard.

All told there were over 95 Pontiacs from the 1930's to the 1970's.  [Only 10 attended our first event in 2001.]  The BBQ grille was smoking on both Friday and Saturday as these regional POCI'ers consumed over 200 hamburgers and 200 hot dogs - all courtesy of POCI and its Floridian chapters which are the Dixie (Jacksonville), Everglades (Fort Meyers/Naples), Florida (Tampa/St. Pete/Orlando) and Hurricane (Miami/Fort Lauderdale/W Palm Beach) Chapters.   Once again the Wide Track Warriors club of Orlando came out "to hang" with their Pontiac brethen.   Not a POCI chapter but boy do they put on great Pontiac shows at Old Town in Kissimmee (Orlando).

Posted below are some pictures showing what a great people and classic car event Turkey Run is.  In addition to our Pontiacs there are another 5,000 cars in attendance as well as spectators exceeding 200,000.   Please visit their Turkey Run website if you really want to learn more about this event.

POCI wishes you happy viewing and we really want to see you at the 2005 Pontiac Pow-wow-WOW  inside Daytona International Speedway!
